“I switched to Starlink and I will never go back. I get around 200 to 400 Mbps download and 20 to 50 Mbps upload with my average latency being 24ms.”
“On a really hot day it actually overheated and stopped working completely. Had no internet at all and it wouldn't come back until it cooled down.”
“It's a really expensive startup fee, and the only option is the most expensive package. When I enter in my in-laws' home just outside the city, it's like $20 and I can get a cheaper package.”
“Literally at a loss for words. Ordered a Starlink kit on the flight.”

Available across most of the contiguous US, Alaska, and Hawaii. Particularly strong in rural and remote areas. Coverage is address-specific based on satellite capacity in each cell.
View on FCC Broadband MapStarlink is the best option I've ever had out here, but the speeds are unpredictable. Some days I get 200 Mbps, other days 50 Mbps. Weather affects it too. Still leagues better than the DSL and satellite options I had before.
$120/month plus $599 upfront is steep. I get it's revolutionary technology, but if you have cable or fiber available, those are better options. For us with zero alternatives though, it's been solid. Just wish the price would come down.
We went from 3 Mbps HughesNet with 600ms latency to 150+ Mbps Starlink with 30ms latency. My kids can finally do video homework. We can stream. I can work from home. The $599 equipment cost paid for itself immediately.
