“Spectrum internet is a scam. Unfortunately it's the only 1 GB+ option in our area. I've had massive connectivity issues since day 1 - random delays, random interruptions of service, consistently slow speeds at random points throughout the day.”
“I pay for 1gb internet but I have never seen speeds past the 400's ever. And when I do Spectrum's speed test it tells me I'm at 980 but when I do a speed test online on their equipment it's always averaging around 200.”
“I was paying $20 for unlimited data, then they increased it to $30 without any warning, then to $40 - all in a span of 6 months. I'm so tired of Spectrum's predatory behavior.”
“You call and you get through - agents are always friendly and helpful. I hope they keep it that way.”

View on FCC Broadband MapThe speeds are okay when it works, but we've had 5 outages in the last 3 months, some lasting several hours. Customer service just says they're aware and working on it. Considering switching to Google Fiber which just became available.
What I like about Spectrum is the simplicity. No contracts, no caps, equipment included. The speeds are reliable - my Gig plan consistently hits 800+. Wish the upload was faster but for the price it's hard to complain.
Spectrum is like a dependable sedan. It gets the job done without any excitement. 300 Mbps is plenty for our needs, no data caps is great, but the $75 regular price after promo feels steep. The upload speed really needs improvement.
I appreciate that Spectrum has no data caps and includes the equipment. However, 10 Mbps upload on a 300 Mbps plan is ridiculous in 2024. Video calls can be rough when my wife is also uploading files. Price jump after promo was steep too.
